Nursery

At Murdishaw West Primary & Nursery School, we are proud to offer a warm, welcoming and nurturing nursery provision for children from aged 2, giving every child the very best start to their educational journey.

We offer both 15-hour and 30-hour funded childcare places for eligible families, providing flexible, high-quality early education in a caring and supportive environment.

We know that starting nursery is an exciting milestone for both children and their families. Our experienced and caring team provides a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, develop independence and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Through a balance of play-based experiences and carefully planned activities, children develop the key skills they need to thrive as they prepare for school.

We place great importance on ensuring every child has a happy and positive start. Our transition programme allows children to settle gradually, become familiar with their new surroundings, build trusting relationships with staff and make new friends before beginning school life.

Our nursery is fully integrated within the wider school community, allowing children to become part of the Murdishaw West family from the very beginning. They benefit from access to excellent facilities, experienced staff and a seamless transition into Reception, ensuring continuity in their learning and development.
