We're officially GOOD! 26.6.17
We are delighted to announce that Murdishaw West has been judged as ‘GOOD’ in all areas in it’s recent inspection.
We are thrilled that the inspection team has recognised the high quality of all aspects of our school.
Ofsted inspections are stressful experiences for all staff. The process of an inspection is intense for everyone and no stone was left unturned by the team:
Teaching and learning was observed in every classroom
Teachers and teaching assistants were observed more than once
Progress and attainment was judged by interrogating our data and by scrutinising many of the children’s books
Some children read to the inspectors
There were frequent interviews, at all levels, throughout the two days, to judge leadership and management
Early Years was judged separately
Behaviour and safety was closely scrutinised and all safeguarding procedures were checked thoroughly
Children of all ages were interviewed
The Chair of Governors and the LA School Improvement advisor were also interviewed
Inspectors spoke with parents on the playground
The inspection team asked us to thank the children for the part they played in the process. They described the children as ‘fantastic’! Their focus and obvious love of learning shone through! This makes us very proud!
We are very proud of everyone in our team. They excelled and showed the inspectors that ours is indeed a good school!
